Univ. Of Alaska-Anchorage Signs Global Spectrum To Manage Arena
The Univ. of Alaska-Anchorage has signed Global Spectrum to a five-year deal to manage Alaska Airlines Center, the school’s new arena opening this fall. The 5,000-seat facility will be the new home to the UAA men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball teams. Global Spectrum’s sister firms, Front Row Marketing and New Era Tickets, also signed deals to sell premium seats/advertising and tickets, respectively. The $109M arena includes the Varsity Sports Grill, a full-service restaurant on the suite level, the Seawolf HOF, a student fitness and recreation area, gymnastics training facility and sports medicine space. Grand opening ceremonies are set for Sept 5-14.
