CBS Sports Network To Air Weekly Minor League Baseball Games

Minor League Baseball has signed a broadcast deal with CBS Sports Network to run a Game of the Week beginning tonight and running through early August. The coverage will begin with a Triple-A Int’l League game between the Pawtucket Red Sox and Indianapolis Indians, but coverage will feature multiple classifications of play. Anchoring the coverage will be Dick Gabriel and Doug Flynn. Aiding the deal was San Diego-based JMI Sports.

MiLB execs branded the pact as its first "truly comprehensive television package," and in part is an outgrowth of its "Project Brand" national marketing efforts being led by MiLB Enterprises President & CMO Michael Hand. The deal also adds to a growing level of coverage of the affiliated minors within the existing MiLB.TV streaming package. MiLB President & CEO Pat O’Conner said, "We feel this partnership with CBS Sports Network will truly capture the emotion of our game to a national audience week after week."
