Palace Sports Agrees To Settlement Over Disability Access
The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Michigan has reached a settlement with Palace Sports & Entertainment to "improve handicap access to its facilities." The move comes as the latest phase of renovations has begun at The Palace of Auburn Hills. This settles an investigation that followed "two complaints from disabled patrons who were unable to attend events at the arena." The Palace, in line with the Americans with Disabilities Act, will add "at least 99 wheelchair accessible seats along with 99 companion seats" (MLIVE.com, 8/21).
