CBS Radio promoted Chris Oliviero to Exec VP/Programming, where he will continue to oversee CBS Sports Radio. In his position, Oliviero will head up programming and operations for CBS Radio stations. He also will oversee talent relations and new business development (John Ourand, Staff Writer).

Fox Sports today announced that Ford, Geico, Yum! Brands and Samsung have signed on as advertisers on FS1, taking lead positions in the automotive, insurance, QSR and electronics categories, respectively. The net launches on Aug. 17 (Fox Sports).

The NASL N.Y. Cosmos today announced that the club has hired former DDB and TWBA exec Bob Kuperman as a creative consultant (Cosmos).

The SEC "will have guaranteed bowl spots for at least 10 of its 14 members beginning in 2014," according to sources (ESPN.com, 8/12).
