The NHL finalized its sale of the Coyotes today to a group headed by George Gosbee and Anthony LeBlanc. NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman in a statement said the league "believes in Arizona as an NHL market and that these new owners can provide the Coyotes the opportunity to secure a stable, long-term future in Glendale" (Christopher Botta, Staff Writer). 

adidas and Notre Dame today unveiled a special jersey "created for the Shamrock Series against Arizona State" on Oct. 5 at AT&T Stadium (USATODAY.com, 8/5).

Prospective Boston Globe Owner John Henry made the rounds at the paper's newsroom this morning, "shaking hands with dozens of employees and asking them about their work" (BOSTON.com, 8/5).

The Mets have rolled out a special ticket offer in which single-game tickets will be sold without fees. The deal began today and runs through Thursday, but tickets can be purchased for all available games through the remainder of the '13 season (Mets).

Nelligan Sports Marketing announced deals with Georgia Southern Univ. and Cal State Northridge. Nelligan will handle sponsorship and multimedia rights for GSU, while it will handle CSUN's corporate partnership program (THE DAILY).

The Big South Conference today re-launched the conference's official athletics website, BigSouthSports.com, which now fully integrates with the Big South Network as part of a joint venture between the conference office and Webstream Sports (Big South Conference).
