Former NFL Panthers Stadium Exec Jon Richardson Dies At 53
Former Panthers Stadium LLC President Jon Richardson has died after a lengthy battle with cancer, according to a source. Richardson, age 53, was the oldest son of NFL Panthers Owner Jerry Richardson. He was the lead stadium exec "from the team’s inception until his resignation" in '09. Richardson and his brother, Mark, "resigned unexpectedly" and remained part of the ownership group, but "had kept a low profile with the organization" (CHARLOTTEOBSERVER.com, 7/16).
