Maple Leafs Fans Gearing Up For First Home Playoff Game Since '04

The Maple Leafs will host the Bruins tonight for Eastern Conference Quarterfinals Game 3, which marks the first home Stanley Cup Playoffs game at Air Canada Centre in nine years. Scalpers today were "gathering in small numbers outside the arena" and reporting prices of $1,000 for premium tickets. The tickets carried a value of $400 during the regular season and were $796 for the playoffs (THESTAR.com, 5/6).

The west side of the arena will hold a pregame party "for the 2,800 fans" that Maple Leafs Square can accomodate, "complete with appearances" by former Maple Leaf players Darryl Sittler and Wendel Clark. The game will be shown on a video screen attached to the Air Canada Centre (GLOBEANDMAIL.com, 5/6).
