EA Sports, Nike Activate Around Tiger Woods' Masters Appearance

Golf Channel’s “Morning Drive” today debuted a spot promoting EA Sports’ “Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14: The Rumble” videogame. The promo features Woods and Arnold Palmer walking into an airplane hangar about to board a private helicopter when they are stopped by a group of threatening-looking men. Palmer and Woods fight off the five would-be thieves until all of the attackers are on the ground writhing in pain. Before they can leave, the two golfers are confronted by one more intimidating fighter. At this moment, Lee Trevino rappels in on a zip-line, lands behind the large fighter, drops down into a split and strikes the fighter in the knee (“Morning Drive,” Golf Channel, 3/26).

Meanwhile, Nike today announced the coming launch of a new TW-branded shoe, the Nike Free Inspired TW '13 Limited Edition, ahead of Tiger Woods' upcoming appearance in The Masters. The shoe features waterproof synthetic leather, with an outsole featuring green coloration with accents of yellow and red. The shoe will be available starting Thursday (Nike).
