UFC 158 Ticket Revenue Surpasses UFC 154 At Bell Centre

UFC President Dana White said he is "expecting a sellout" for Saturday's UFC 158 PPV card at Montreal's Bell Centre. But even if the MMA promotion "couldn't move all" remaining tickets (1,100 as of late Thursday), White is "already pleased with the revenue" the Georges St-Pierre-Nick Diaz main event is generating. The total ticket revenue has "blasted past" UFC 154, which drew a gate of $3.143M on 17,249 tickets sold at Bell Centre in November. White: "We're at $3.5 million right now" (MMAWEEKLY.com, 3/14).

Meanwhile, UFC announced a renewal of its sponsorship deal with SafeAuto Insurance through '13. The brand will have a presence at six UFC events throughout the year, including Octagon signage at select UFC on Fuel TV events (UFC).
