Sponsorium today released its comprehensive report on global sponsorships for '12. Findings included the fact that in the U.S., 71% of partnerships are in sports, 19% higher than the global total (Sponsorium).

Capital One has signed a multiyear deal to serve as the official bank of the PGA Tour Shell Houston Open, including presenting sponsorship of the SHO Club 16 venue overlooking the 16th green at Redstone Golf Club. The partnership begins with this year's event, set for March 25-31 (Shell Houston Open).
