Penguins Tonight Roll Out Their PensPoints Mobile Rewards Program
The Penguins tonight will debut PensPoints, the team’s mobile rewards program. Penguins Senior VP/Sales & Service David Peart said more than 20,000 people have downloaded the PensPoints app since it became available last Thursday. Peart believes the Penguins’ rewards program distinguishes itself from others in pro sports because Penguins fans can earn points in ways beyond buying tickets and merchandise. “This is a way to extend beyond the arena and do it effectively,” he said.
Points can be earned by attending official viewing events at Pittsburgh-area bars and restaurants and by listening to Penguins games on the radio. Points can be redeemed for everything from Penguins merchandise to a trip to a road game against the Flyers.
