ESPN VP/PR Josh Krulewitz today issued a statement on Brent Musburger's comments last night, claiming the longtime play-by-play announcer signed off with, "For Fran Fraschilla and Holly Rowe, it was really smokin' tonight." Musburger was widely reported to have referred to Rowe, rather than the atmosphere at Allen Fieldhouse, as "smokin'" (THE DAILY).

Walt Disney and AT&T today announced a multiyear distribution agreement to deliver Disney content to U-verse customers. The deal includes Disney's suite of authenticated Watch products, ESPN 3D, ESPN Goal Line and ESPN Buzzer Beater (Walt Disney). 

The AFL Philadelphia Soul and Parx Casino today jointly announced a multiyear sponsorship deal that includes presenting sponsorship for the '13 and '14 seasons (Soul). Elements of the deal include a "newly created co-branded logo" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 1/14).

Competitor Group today announced a three-year deal with REI in which the outdoor gear and apparel retailer will become title sponsor of the Muddy Buddy Adventure Series and presenting sponsor of the TriRock Triathlon Series (Competitor Group).

Army football today announced that it will again hold its annual spring scrimmage on the grounds of a U.S. Army installation. The '13 Black & Gold Game will be played March 8 at Hood Stadium on the grounds of Fort Hood in Texas (Army).
