Ballpark Financing Would Be Same On Either Side Of Tampa Bay
A report from the Tampa Bay-area Baseball Stadium Financing Caucus says that "potential financing for a new baseball stadium is about equal on both sides" of the bay. According to the report, about $350M "would be available from a number of sources in either county." The report assumes the Rays would pay 20-40% of the cost for a retractable roof stadium, which the group estimates at $500M. The Caucus "avoided drawing any conclusions about where a stadium should be located" (TAMPABAY.com, 11/19).
