U.S. Cellular today said that it will keep its name on the White Sox' ballpark and its HQs in Chicago, even as it sells its Chicago, St. Louis and central Illinois markets, "as well as three others in the Midwest," to subsidiaries of Sprint Nextel Corp. in a $480M deal (CHICAGOTRIBUNE.com, 11/7).

Hornets rookie F Anthony Davis starting today appears in a new TV ad as part of the NBA on ESPN RV marketing campaign. In the spot, Davis appears with ESPN play-by-play announcer Mike Breen and Hornets mascot Hugo (ESPN).

The Lightning today named Total Hockey a preferred partner. The deal will include grassroots hockey initiatives and collaboration on the HockeyGreen composite stick recycling program (Lightning).

Spalding today announced a deal to sponsor the '12 Carrier Classic men's basketball doubleheader, which will take place Friday aboard the USS Yorktown in Charleston Harbor, S.C. This year's game features a Marquette-Ohio State men's game and an Ohio State-Notre Dame women's game (Spalding).
