Michael Phelps has signed a multi-year endorsement deal with the headphone company Sol Republic. Financial terms of the agreement were not available (Tripp Mickle, SportsBusiness Journal).

The Red Wings tweeted the official logo for the Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic against the Maple Leafs on January 1 at Michigan Stadium. The logo is "a shield design, with a drawing of the stadium and the words 'Big House'" (FREEP.com, 9/4).
