The MLB Rangers announced that only 8,500 tickets remain for P Yu Darvish's regular-season debut tonight against the Mariners, a team that is "not typically a huge draw" at Rangers Ballpark. The Rangers averaged 29,449 fans last season for their six weekday home games against the Mariners (DALLASNEWS.com, 4/9). Rangers Ballpark has a capacity of 48,194.

The D'Backs had more than 108,000 fans at Chase Field for the team's season-opening series against the Giants, "the most since the first weekend of the 2003 season (113,709)." Friday's crowd of 49,130 was "the fourth-largest regular-season crowd in Diamondbacks history and the third-largest on Opening Day" (ARIZONASPORTS.com, 4/8).

A crowd of 33,166 attended Saturday's 11-race card, which included the Santa Anita Derby, at Santa Anita Park (L.A. TIMES, 4/8).

A crowd of 18,818 attended the Boston College-Ferris State NCAA men's hockey championship game on Saturday at Tampa Bay Times Forum. The crowd was "about 1,000 shy of a sellout" (TAMPA BAY TIMES, 4/8).

A crowd of 14,195 attended Sunday's Rockies-Astros game, the smallest-ever crowd at Minute Maid Park (CHRON.com, 4/8).

An estimated crowd of 15,000 attended an outdoor church in Georgetown, Texas, on Easter Sunday to hear Jets QB Tim Tebow preach (Mult., 4/9).

A crowd of 10,666 attended Saturday night's USA Junior National vs. World Select basketball game at the Rose Garden in Portland, part of the Nike Hoop Summit (OREGONLIVE.com, 4/7).
