Serie A Club Roma To Play At Wide World Of Sports Complex

Serie A club Roma today formally announced a "unique agreement" with ESPN to train at the Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando. Per the six-year deal, Roma plans to use the facilities "during the Serie A winter break" (ESPNSOCCERNET.com, 3/19). The club will "receive signage at the facility, host clinics, play an annual friendly and bring its youth team over for Disney Soccer Showcase." EPL club Chelsea signed a "similar agreement with Disney in 2007" (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 3/19 issue).
