David Reutimann Lands Daytona 500 Ride With Startup BK Racing

Driver David Reutimann has landed a ride for the Daytona 500, as he will drive for start-up team BK Racing. Reutimann will drive the No. 93 Toyota for BK, which "bought equipment as well as obtained the points from Red Bull Racing." The team is owned by former TRG investors. It also owns Burger King franchises and is "expected to have the restaurant's logos on the hood." Reutimann "already had 26" NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races on his schedule with Tommy Baldwin Racing, but not Daytona (SCENEDAILY.com, 2/15).

Meanwhile, Ingersoll Rand today announced a deal to sponsor JR Motorsports' NASCAR Nationwide Series No. 88 Chevrolet driven by Cole Whitt. The company will be the primary sponsor for the History 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 26 and an associate sponsor for 32 races (Ingersoll Rand).
