Season Ad Sales Network Reaches More Users Than Any Sports Site

Silver Chalice New Media, the White Sox-owned digital media and technology outfit, said its Season digital ad sales network reached more than 71.6 million unique users during September, according to comScore metrics data, more than any individual U.S. sports site. Season -- an acronym for Sports and Entertainment Advertising, Sponsorship and Operations Network -- aggregates syndicated video inventory from the NHL, MLB, PGA Tour, MLS, WTA, ATP and numerous college properties, among many others. Among the recent network additions for Season, launched in February, was the recently formed ACC digital network. The company continues to hold an extensive partnership with the U.K.-based digital sports company the Perform Group, which holds a large battery of online video highlight rights for North American pro sports.

"Scale is the ultimate driver, and we've been on a huge run," said Silver Chalice CEO and White Sox VP & CMO Brooks Boyer. "We're now as big as ESPN.com and Turner combined. … We're doing what we said we were going to do."
