Seth Meyers Set To Host ESPYs For Second Straight Year

ESPN tonight will air the "The ESPYs" at 9:00pm ET from Nokia Theatre in L.A., and the award show is once again being hosted by comedian Seth Meyers. This morning’s edition of ABC’s “GMA” aired a taped segment from ABC's John Berman interviewing Meyers backstage at L.A. Live. Berman said the experience was “pretty much the best thing that ever happened to me.” Berman described the ESPYs as the “Academy Awards in cleats or the Super Bowl in a strapless gown.” Berman asked Meyers about making fun of athletes, “Some of these guys are very big. Are you afraid they’re going to beat you up?” Meyers: “They’re all bigger than me and even if they’re smaller than me, they’re faster. No, I don’t have that much fear about getting beat up. I think they could just look at me sideways and I’d like melt with fear. I think that’d be even more embarrassing than getting beat up” (“GMA,” ABC, 7/13).
