Dearth Of Top Prospects Makes NBA Draft Lottery "Interesting"

The NBA will hold its Draft Lottery tonight at 8:30pm ET, and ESPN "will have to get pretty creative to hype" this year's telecast, as the draft pool is "not nearly as top-heavy as some recent ones." An unnamed NBA exec said, "It's an interesting draft because of all the players that would have gone lottery or near-lottery who have dropped out. We haven't had this for a while." The "looming lockout certainly contributed to some players deciding to stay in college" (Bergen RECORD, 5/17).
