Mark Attanasio, Tom Werner Not Interested In Buying Dodgers

Brewers VP/Communications Tyler Barnes today said that team Owner Mark Attanasio is “not interested in becoming an owner” of the Dodgers. Multiple reports have indicated that Attanasio, an L.A. resident, could be “an interested buyer” of the Dodgers after MLB yesterday seized control of the team from Frank McCourt. But Barnes said, “The speculation is not true and unfounded. It’s not true” (BIZTIMES.com, 4/21).

In addition, Red Sox Chair Tom Werner, another person whose name has been connected to the Dodgers’ ownership, said, "I cannot be more definitive than this. ... I have no interest in pursuing that opportunity. And that's my answer now and that will be my answer in the future" (BOSTON.com, 4/21).
