Samsung, Visa Partnering On Mobile Payment Technology

Samsung and Visa today announced plans to partner to create technology that will enable mobile payments in the run up to and during the '12 London Olympics. The joint effort will allow consumers to make mobile payments using the Samsung Olympic and Paralympic mobile handset.

Meanwhile, Canada's Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium has re-signed Coca-Cola Canada, securing its first multiplatform sponsorship for the '12 London Games. The media activation program provides Coca-Cola exclusivity in the sparkling, water and enhanced water, sports drinks, juice and juice drinks and hot and cold ready-to-drink tea categories. The deal marks the largest Canadian media sponsorship for Coca-Cola in a non-domestic Olympics (THE DAILY).
