Kanaan To Drive For KV Racing Technology In '11 Izod IndyCar Series

Tony Kanaan will drive for the KV Racing Technology team in the '11 Izod IndyCar Series, with Geico to serve as the primary sponsor. He joins fellow KV drivers Takuma Sato and E.J. Viso on the three-car team (KV Racing Technology). Kanaan's car will bear the No. 82 "in homage to Jim Clark's famous victory" in the '65 Indianapolis 500. Kanaan drove for Andretti Autosport from '03-10 but "accepted an early buyout to his contract when primary sponsor 7-11 opted to drop its backing" (ESPN.com, 3/21).
