Topps Grants Abrams License To Publish Series Of Books

Topps has granted illustrated publisher Abrams an exclusive license to publish books inspired by Topps' long-standing presence in sports and popular culture. The multiyear deal is expected to yield an array of non-fiction and fiction sports and entertainment-themed books and calendars, including electronic books. The first line of books is slated to be released Spring '12. Topps and Abrams first collaborated in '08.

Meanwhile, Baseball HOFer Hank Aaron and former MLBer Frank Thomas are serving as Topps spokespersons this week as part of the company's 60th anniversary celebration. Aaron will appear on CBS' "Late Show" at 11:35pm ET (THE DAILY).
