Liza Cartmell Leaves Her Job As Aramark Sports Group President
Liza Cartmell has left her job as Aramark Sports & Entertainment Group President, industry sources have confirmed. Cartmell had been president of the sports group since September '06 and held management positions in Aramark’s sports and other divisions since she joined the company in '99. Aramark officials declined to comment today on her departure. The announcement was made last week during a BOD meeting, sources said.
Under Cartmell’s leadership, Aramark signed a 30-year deal with the Mets to run food and merchandise at Citi Field, and a 10-year food and retail agreement with the Penguins at Consol Energy Center, their new arena. In addition, Aramark grew its business under Cartmell’s watch by taking over concessions at Arrowhead Stadium and Kauffman Stadium in K.C. and at Toronto’s Rogers Centre.
