NFL Net To Unveil HOF Inductees, With Ed Sabol Possibly Among Them

NFL Network will announce the '11 Pro Football HOF inductees Saturday at 7:00pm ET during its "Road to Canton" special. Finalists include NFL Films Founder Ed Sabol and former players-turned broadcasters Deion Sanders and Marshall Faulk. Portions of the announcement also will be available on NFL.com (NFL Network).

The Philadelphia Daily News' Paul Domowitch said, "Take all of the other candidates, stack their accomplishments, and they haven't had the impact on the game that Ed Sabol has" (USA TODAY, 2/4). The N.Y. TIMES' Andy Barall writes, "For almost 50 years, NFL Films has made an extraordinary contribution to the growth and increased popularity of pro football, and to the preservation of its history."
