Coyotes fans want whiteout for potential final game

Coyotes fans are "calling for one final whiteout" in what "appears to be the franchise's last game" in Arizona tonight against the Oilers at Mullett Arena. The Coyotes have a "tradition of wearing white for special occasions," and this game "certainly qualifies as a special occasion," coming amid reports of the team's potential relocation to Salt Lake City. Some fan groups are "organizing events around the arena for those who can't get inside to see the game" (ARIZONA REPUBLIC, 4/16). A ticket for tonight's game "is a hot one," with the cost on StubHub as of Tuesday night ranging "between $400 and $4,499." Coyotes coach André Tourigny said the "support of the fans in the last week and the atmosphere around that game" is "what fuels me." Tourigny: "People have been (nothing) but fantastic to us so we want to be fantastic for them" (THE ATHLETIC, 4/16).

Jazz owner Ryan Smith, who reportedly will be who purchases the Coyotes to move them to Salt Lake City, will speak later today at the CAA World Congress of Sports.
