Ilitch Companies promoted Ilitch Sports + Entertainment EVP & COO RYAN GUSTAFSON to President & CEO. Gustafson will “lead business operations” for the Red Wings, Tigers, Little Caesars Arena, Comerica Park and Fox Theatre. He will also “oversee” the joint venture interest in 313 Presents and “manage the business operations” for the Single-A Lakeland Flying Tigers (DETROIT NEWS, 3/25).

Pepperdine Univ. named Rice Univ. Deputy AD/ External Affairs TANNER GARDNER AD. He succeeds STEVE POTTS, who is retiring after 14 years. Gardner will assume his role on June 1, 2024 (Pepperdine).

Valparaiso Univ. AD DR. CHARLES SMALL has announced that he has made the decision to step down to pursue new opportunities. Small served in the role for 18 months. Valparaiso will conduct a national search for its next permanent AD, and Deputy AD/Revenue Generation & Senior Woman Administrator LAUREL HOSMER has been named Interim AD (Valparaiso).

The LPGA Foundation BOD named USGA CFO SUSAN PIKITCH Chair (LPGA).
