Names in the News

The identities of two WWE execs identified as “Corporate Officers No. 1 and 2” in a sex trafficking lawsuit filed against former TKO Exec Chair VINCE MCMAHON and former WWE Head of Talent Relations JOHN LAURINAITIS have been revealed. The suit, which was filed against McMahon and the WWE, “does not allege any sexual misconduct” by either WWE President NICK KHAN or COO BRAD BLUM, but charges that the pair were aware of a plan to employ JANEL GRANT “in a completely undefined role, except for the understanding that she ... [was] used and trafficked by McMahon within the WWE.” WWE “denied that Khan or Plum had any knowledge of what had been going on.” McMahon’s daughter, STEPHANIE MCMAHON, was also named as “Corporate Officer No. 3” in the suit, though she is “only ambiguously mentioned,” and former general counsel and head of WWE’s legal department BRIAN NURSE was identified as “Corporate Officer No. 4” (N.Y. POST, 3/11).

Prescott’s lawsuit includes a letter from the woman’s Arlington-based attorneys, BETHEL and YOEL ZEHAIE, who say that she is seeking the compensation “in exchange for not disclosing or pursuing criminal charges in connection with a 2017 sexual encounter.” LEVI MCCATHERN, Prescott’s Dallas-based attorney, said that the Prescott “denies a sexual assault took place” (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 3/11).
