Five Iron Golf gets $20M investment from Enlightened Hospitality Investments

Indoor golf venue operator Five Iron Golf has received a $20M minority investment from Enlightened Hospitality Investments. As part of the transaction, EHI cofounder and managing partner Peter Mavrovitis has joined Five Iron’s board. The funding announcement follows the recent opening of Five Iron Golf’s new flagship location adjacent to N.Y.’s Grand Central Station, and the company now operates 24 locations that integrate golf simulators with a lounge atmosphere. Five Iron previously received a $30M minority investment from Callaway Golf Company in 2021 and last year launched a franchising program to support further expansion. EHI, an investment manager led by Shake Shack and Union Square Hospitality Group founder Danny Meyer, closed a $332M fund in early 2022 to make investments throughout the restaurant and hospitality industries.
