Dan Levy named Legends interim President, joins BOD

Legends held its annual Legends Global Summit at The Star in Frisco, Texas, this week, with at least one significant bit of news emerging from the offsite gathering. DAN LEVY, who was in Frisco at the meeting, is joining Legends’ Board of Directors and taking on the role of Interim president with the company. Levy joins the company after 14 years at Meta (formerly Facebook) where he led efforts to develop, grow, and monetize new businesses, including the company’s $100B-plus revenue advertising business. Levy will report to Legends CEO (and board member) SHERVIN MIRHASHEMI.

“(Levy) is here to help us scale our business and operation into our next phase of growth, including with ASM (Global), and we are thrilled to add his deep expertise across product development, sales and marketing, operations, and finance to our team,” Mirhashemi wrote in an email to Legends employees this morning.

Legends also announced in Frisco the departure of CURT MCCLELLAN, who joined Legends in 2021 as co-President and Chief Corporate Officer and oversaw all infrastructure components of the company, including legal, human resources, IT, and finance and accounting. Levy isn’t a direct replacement for McClellan, who is the second senior executive to step away from Legends this year, after former Legends Hospitality President DAN SMITH transitioned to an advisory role in January. Mirhashemi’s email to employees mentioned that “we move full steam ahead toward the culmination of our deal with ASM Global;” Legends’ reported $2.4B acquisition of ASM Global is still under review by the Department of Justice.
