Seven Seven Six, Wheelhouse team to launch collectibles platform Mantel

Alexis Ohanian’s venture firm, Seven Seven Six, and media firm Wheelhouse have partnered to launch Mantel, a new community and content platform dedicated to collectibles of all kinds, including sports memorabilia and trading cards. Evan Parker, the former GM of The Athletic, is leading Mantel as its founding CEO. Parker was honored in SBJ's Forty Under 40 class in 2021. Former Action Network CEO Patrick Keane will join Mantel as an advisor.

Mantel is live in beta and also received funding from DJ Steve Aoki, investor Gary Vaynerchuk, WNBA star Candace Parker, The Athletic Co-Founder Adam Hansmann and institutional investors Courtside Ventures, Switch Ventures and Cosmic Venture Partners. Wheelhouse was founded by Brent Montgomery, the creator of Pawn Stars and King of Collectibles.
