Morning Hot Reads: Head Honcho

The AUSTIN AMERICAN-STATESMAN ponders who could be the commissioner of a new-look college football under the header, "No one would make a better college football commissioner than Nick Saban, trust me." Saban has had "all of two weeks off, and by now he has to be a little stir-crazy." So we have "the perfect position for him" -- commissioner of college football. The need for such a person "has been bandied about at times," but the sport "has never been at a more critical juncture than now." Everybody admits college football "is in chaos and needs guard rails." So put Saban "at the head of the table." Name him commissioner "with a court of five conference commissioners, the current Power Four leagues and one representative of the Group of Five." These six people "will rule and have final authority."
