British tennis chiefs have "rejected shock ATP proposals to partner with Saudi Arabia" as the Middle East nation "makes the sport its largest target for domination this year." The Public Investment Fund was "homing in on a remarkable branding deal for the Queen's and Eastbourne tournaments" before the Lawn Tennis Association "dismissed the offer" (London TELEGRAPH, 1/10).

The Yorkshire Country Cricket Club's BOD "unanimously accepted [former Chair] Colin Graves's takeover offer" and the final paperwork is "being completed before a deal for the cash-strapped club goes through." Once the offer is formally accepted, a "special general meeting (SGM) will be called -- with at least 21 days' notice -- for club members to give their approval" (London TIMES, 1/10).
