RACER.com’s Marshall Pruett reported the NTT IndyCar Series is “nearing the confirmation of a second season” for its "100 Days To Indy" docuseries. Penske Entertainment CEO Mark Miles said he is “not saying that it is 100 percent done with the i’s dotted and t’s crossed, but we are quite confident that we’ll be in good shape and would be excited about it continuing into Season 2.” Miles did not say whether the second season would remain on the CW, but did confirm that the “same production team would return to make the next installments" of the series (RACER.com, 12/11).
COMING TO A NEW PLATFORM: The Bucks have reached a deal with Fubo to make games available on the service while “offering free trials for Bucks fans.” Bucks season-ticket holders will receive a “free 30-day trial from Fubo via email,” while all other Bucks fans can sign up for a free 14-day Fubo trial. Other current streaming platforms airing Bucks games will “continue to operate the rest of the season as well.” The move comes during a season in which Bally Sports has “taken heat from fans” for streaming outages (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 12/11).
YOU NEED TO SLOW DOWN: SI’s Jimmy Traina wrote the flag for the controversial penalty against Chiefs WR Kadarius Toney at the end of Sunday's Bills-Chiefs game was “thrown right at the snap,” but CBS still “insisted on cutting to Taylor Swift instead of first getting the ruling.” CBS announcer Jim Nantz “was on top of things,” alerting viewers to the flag as soon as the ball was snapped. However, the “producer or director or whoever, caught up in their ridiculous Swift hysteria, made sure to cut to the suite, which just showed a bunch of random people celebrating, instead of sticking to the field and seeing what the flag was for first” (SI, 12/11).
