Verizon has been "working since October to ensure its network at Allegiant Stadium can stand up to the test" for Super Bowl LVIII, according to Sean Hemmersmeier of the LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL. Nearly every area inside and outside of Allegiant Stadium has "seen an upgrade in equipment,” with "more than 275 pieces of equipment" added to the stadium to prepare for the Super Bowl. The equipment will "remain in the stadium moving forward." Verizon also has been "using the regular season Raiders games as test runs,” though upgrades are “only for Verizon customers." The company is “preparing for about 40,000 people at the Super Bowl to be Verizon users.” Verizon users made up 60% of the crowd of 68,000 for the 2023 Super Bowl at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.
