NHL Power Players, a youth advisory board made up of young hockey fans, is back for the fifth straight year. The 26 members of the board, all aged 13-17 from the U.S. and Canada, will have a chance to have their voices heard by the NHL multiple times throughout this season (NHL).

Australia's Gold Coast, which hosted the Commonwealth Games in 2018, said it "would not be stepping in to take on the event again" -- dropping its bid to host the 2026 edition of the Games. Organizers have "dialogue currently ongoing with four potential hosts" and "hope to identify the location of their 2026 event early next year" after Victoria, Australia suddenly abandoned its plans to host back in July (London TIMES, 12/4).

USL Championship club Rhode Island FC has "secured a national airline as its inaugural front-of-jersey sponsor" after agreeing to a deal with Breeze Airways. The multiyear partnership also makes Breeze the club’s exclusive airline partner (PROVIDENCE JOURNAL, 12/4).
