Ohio State raises football season-ticket prices for 2024

Price increases for OSU come as the school has two additional home games at Ohio Stadium next yeargetty images

Ohio State is “raising football season-ticket prices for next season” as a result of additional home games for 2024, according to Joey Kaufman of the COLUMBUS DISPATCH. After only six games at Ohio Stadium this fall, there “will be eight games” held in Columbus next season. The pricing of the six seating zones for the general public “ranges from $596 to $1,365, an increase of an average of $269 per section.” It was $398 to $944 in 2023. The increase is “only slightly more than” when the Buckeyes last had eight home games in 2022 (COLUMBUS DISPATCH, 11/16). In Columbus, Amanda Tonoli notes Ohio State’s “least expensive game” will be Sept. 7 game against Western Michigan -- with tickets “starting at $46, a nearly 18% increase from this season's most affordable matchup.” The Buckeyes' 120th matchup against Michigan on Nov. 30 is “designated a ‘premier’ game with tickets starting at $192 for non-students.” The “most expensive public ticket will be $458 for Zone 1.” When Ohio State last hosted its rival, tickets started at $149 (COLUMBUS BUSINESS FIRST, 11/17).
