NFL Network saw a 13% uptick in viewership for its games from Europe this season. The four telecasts in the 9:30am ET window averaged 5.8 million viewers, up from 5.1 million for three games last year (there was an extra game from Germany this season). The Nov. 5 Dolphins-Chiefs game provided much of the lift, as that game’s 9.2 million viewers was a record for NFL Net from Europe. NFL Net finished its slate this past Sunday with Colts-Patriots from Frankfurt, which averaged 4.6 million.

CABLE KINGS: ESPN heads into the final weeks of the year as the No. 2 cable network in primetime, averaging 1.54 million viewers. That’s down 7% from the same point last year. Fox News is No. 1 with 1.83 million in primetime (that’s down 20%). For total-day viewership, ESPN has passed CNN for the No. 3 spot, averaging 627,000 viewers. That’s up around 1% from the same spot last year.

The chart below lists viewership figures for select recent sports telecasts.
