WSC Sports

Daniel Shichman, Aviv Arnon, Hy Gal and Shmulik Yoffe were old friends who, inspired by Israel’s entrepreneurial spirit, decided to start a company together. The quartet had varying experience in digital video, coding and data transmission and first built a scouting platform before recognizing the larger opportunity in content. WSC Sports uses artificial intelligence to tag sports video, identify the most important moments and automate the clipping and publishing of highlights. The NBA was its earliest partner, but now it works with almost every major pro league, broadcaster and federation. It can produce custom content targeted to different audiences and do so at scale and in real time. Recent advancements include a Magic Crop tool that converts traditionally horizontal broadcast footage into the vertical video format prioritized by platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. — J.L.
