Second Spectrum’s second year operating under Mark Locke’s Genius Sports saw the tracking data and augmentation company maintain its prominence around professional sports. Second Spectrum helped the Premier League roll out Premier League Data Zone, a new data-driven streaming option for international broadcast streams during the 2023-24 season. Second Spectrum provided augmented-reality alternate broadcasts for the FIFA Women’s World Cup and NFL+. It also saw an expansion of its partnership with the NBA that introduced its new Dragon tracking system, while also working with the Portland Trail Blazers and Los Angeles Clippers for their local broadcast productions. — E.J.
