Golden Knights plan new facility in North Las Vegas

The Golden Knights plan to "expand their footprint in Southern Nevada by partnering with North Las Vegas on a new hockey facility." The 100,000-square-foot, $20M facility is planned to be "incorporated in the Hylo Park mixed-use development" and will feature "two sheets of ice and have a capacity of around 3,000." The overall project is planned to feature "hotel and residential space, restaurants, retail, outdoor spaces and a sports bar." Plans call for construction on the hockey facility to "begin in June and is expected to be completed in 18 months." The facility will join others the Knights have in the area including City National Arena in Summerlin and American First Center in Henderson (LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL, 10/25).
