NHL features every team in tonight's 'Frozen Frenzy'

The NHL is debuting its Frozen Frenzy tonight, with "16 games on a completely staggered schedule, with 16 different start times" and featuring all 32 teams in the league. It all begins at 6pm ET when the Capitals host the Maple Leafs, and the puck will drop on the final game at 11pm in Las Vegas between the Flyers and Golden Knights. The NHL Frozen Frenzy will be "highlighted with a live, whip-around, studio show" hosted by ESPN's John Buccigross and Kevin Weekes. The show will air exclusively on ESPN+ from 7-8pm, and then on ESPN2 and ESPN+ from 8pm-1:30am (THE HOCKEY NEWS, 10/24).

It "should be possible to catch at least a bit of every game." ESPN "will have a tripleheader," and another 12 games "will be carried on the ESPN+ streaming service." The whiparound "Frozen Frenzy" coverage on ESPN2 "should cover most of the goals, fights, penalties and power plays from the night." Think of it as "'NFL Red Zone' meets the first two days of the NCAA tournament, but without the annoying commercials for the NCAA" (DETROIT NEWS, 10/24).
