Getting to Know Tommy

What fires me up: I love trying new things, things that are difficult for me and eventually seeing incremental progress if I put in the work.

Go-to person when I need help: I often go to my older brothers for advice. I’m the youngest of three sons and have always been lucky to learn from the examples they’ve laid out. It’s very second nature to think of them whenever I’m stumped with something.

Cause supported: I like to try to stay involved with my alma mater, particularly with my business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi. I remember how mixed around I was in college when it came to how to start a career. Anything I can do to help ease that tension/provide opportunity to those who might be in the same position.

My inspiration: My wife! Theresa inspires me every day to be a better, more empathetic person.

You’d be surprised to know that … : When I retire I want to raise French bulldogs on a farm somewhere.

In the Industry

Most exciting aspect of sports business: I love the unpredictability of sports. Any year, any team has a shot and an opportunity to create unforgettable experiences. No two seasons are ever the same, keeps things very interesting.

Impact of my generation on sports: I’m primarily a fan of the NBA, recently it’s felt like players’ perspective is becoming more widely available. I think the continued expansion of access to details in the sports world/expansion of content is going to be our generation’s impact.

Skill I’d like to learn: I’d like to learn more about brand marketing.

When I attend a sporting event, I want … : Excitement and passion from the crowd.
