Getting to Know Joey

What fires me up: Seeing that 200-plus incredibly talented folks love working at the two companies I founded.

Go-to person when I need help: My executive team at Betr. They are rock stars.

Cause supported: I currently support bespoke causes that are recommended to me by friends and colleagues on an ad hoc basis.

My inspiration: Jeff Bezos, because of the quality of company and organization he built at Amazon, as well as how methodical he was with how he sequenced execution to ultimately accomplish his long-term vision for the company.

In the Industry

Most exciting aspect of sports business: Following sports as a fan and participating in fantasy sports and sports betting are all top passions of mine, so being able to work in this business is a privilege and something I try not to take for granted.

Impact of my generation on sports: Sports fans of my generation are seemingly more transient, and prefer products that provide more instant gratification, as well as more creator-driven content built for social.

When I attend a sporting event, I want … : To root for the Dolphins, Marlins, Heat or Panthers.

In 10 years, I hope to be … : Building Betr, which at that time I hope to be a highly valuable publicly traded company.
