Wofford College AD RICHARD JOHNSON has announced his retirement after 23 years. He will step down after his replacement is named, with the search beginning later this month. Johnson had planned to retire on Dec. 31, 2023 (Wofford).
Oak View Group promoted Dir of Booking (Arena Alliance, Stadium Alliance and OVG360 venues) KEVIN GROVE to VP/Programming at PPG Paints Arena, home of the Penguins. He previously served as VP/Event Programming for Sunrise Sports & Entertainment, parent company of FLA Live Arena and the Florida Panthers, and he also spent time as VP & Assistant GM for Hicks Cedar Park, where he oversaw booking for H-E-B Center (AHL Texas Stars) and Comerica Center, the corporate offices and training facility for the NHL's Stars (Oak View Group).
The American Flag Football League named PBR Austin Gamblers SVP/Marketing JENNIFER GERMER to the same role and WWE VP/Communications STEFANIE FIONDELLA to the same role. Germer will oversee the league's marketing, branding and community relations initiatives, while Fiondella will oversee the league's communications initiatives. Both will report directly to President & COO BRIAN MICHAEL COOPER (American Flag Football League).
Excel Sports Management named BSE Global Premium Services Coordinator CHRISTINA DAVENPORT Business Development Coordinator and BBDO Dir of Financial Planning & Analytics GREG ANDREWS to the same position. Both Davenport and Andrews will be based in N.Y. (Excel Sports Management).
