Colorado football coach DEION SANDERS’ business partner and manager, SMAC Entertainment partner & CEO CONSTANCE SCHWARTZ-MORINI, much like Sanders, is “like nothing college football has seen before.” For almost a decade, she managed rapper SNOOP DOGG as his career “soared well beyond his music.” She also was the “driving force” behind Pro Football HOFer MICHAEL STRAHAN’s transition from Super Bowl champion to Emmy-winning host. In 2011, she and Strahan co-founded SMAC. Schwartz-Morini’s business approach is “rooted in the same outlier vibe that has enabled Sanders to do things few believed he could” (THE ATHLETIC, 9/12).

BUYERS & SELLERS: Inter Miami F LIONEL MESSI is purchasing a nearly $10.8M, 10,500-sqaure-foot waterfront mansion in Fort Lauderdale. The home has “8 bedrooms, a three-car garage and a pool” and is a “roughly 15-minute drive from the DRV PNK Stadium” (BLOOMBERG NEWS, 9/11)....Cubs SS DANSBY SWANSON and his wife, NWSL Chicago Red Stars F MALLORY SWANSON, paid $3.5M to buy a 7,000-square-foot, brick and limestone Lakeview mansion from former Cubs President THEO EPSTEIN. The home has six bedrooms (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 9/11).

NAMES: Blue Jays teammates joined RF GEORGE SPRINGER at his annual bowling benefit on Sunday to raise funds for the Stuttering Association for the Young. More than 300 people attended the event in Toronto, “raising over $200,000.” Blue Jays in attendance included SS BO BICHETTE, 2B WHIT MERRIFIELD, C DANNY JANSEN and SS SANTIAGO ESPINAL. Springer has been a spokesperson and ambassador for the organization since 2014 (TORONTO STAR, 9/12)....Flames radio analyst PETER LOUBARDIAS has been hired to join the team's scouting staff. He has spent the past 10 seasons as the color analyst on CFAC-AM and will now "transition to talent evaluator as a reserve list scout" (CALGARY SUN, 9/8).
