Vector Foiltec

The German company is the world’s leader in ETFE systems, a material in which interest is rapidly growing because of its affordability — compared to steel — and ability to protect venues from unpredictable weather. Vector Foiltec designed, manufactured and installed the first ETFE (ethylene tetrafluoroethylene) cladding system in 1982 and has systems installed in over a hundred countries. Its influence in the U.S. is growing rapidly thanks to ETFE installations at U.S. Bank Stadium and Allegiant Stadium (roofs), the University of Oregon’s Hayward Field (canopy and façade), Globe Life Field (retractable roof and façade), and Los Angeles FC’s BMO Stadium (canopy). — B.M.
