Jones Sign

The Green Bay-based company has nearly 400,000 square feet of manufacturing space at 14 locations where it makes really … big … stuff. Jones manufactured and installed the 72-letter, four-sided, 12-ton, faux-neon LED sign atop Climate Pledge Arena (which uses 60% less power than a traditional neon sign of similar scale). It built the nearly 14-foot tall, 355-foot long programmable Daytona International Speedway letters; Churchill Downs’ 4K “Big Board” LED structure; the 12 stories-high “Big Hoss TV” at Texas Motor Speedway (which is 79% larger than AT&T Stadium’s center-hung board); and two 32-foot tall 3D electric guitars at Hard Rock Stadium. The company also stenciled the Little Caesars pizza cartoon graphic spanning thousands of square feet atop the downtown Detroit arena, and constructed TQL Stadium’s architectural façade (above), a perimeter of 385 aluminum “fins” fitted with programmable LED lighting. — D.B.
